This is helping me

I found a hypnosis download that is helping me. The changes are subtle but I

can see a difference.

It is called Noise Sensitivity ( misophonia) by Mark Tyrrell site

hypnosisdownloads.com which is run by Uncommon Knowledge.

I also use the " Be More Tolerant " download.

At first I developed an additional sensitivity due to hearing him breathe but

that eventually went away. The session asks you to concentrate on a sound that

annoys you but I have found myself becoming less sensitive to sounds that I

really didn't concentrate on also.

I thought I should share this with the group . I have no financial interest in

the site or the products.

On another note, a poster in a raw food forum (raw food didn't work for me) said

she topical magnesium oil helped her get over sound sensitivity. It is said to

be better absorbed than when taken internally.

I started using it also but haven't noticed much difference yet.

I hope this helps someone.

Sonya, Would you mind saying whether you also use a tape or what kind of

hypnosis you do?

Also, question for both Diane and Sonya, does your hypnosis session include

" imagining " exposures to your triggers and/or muscle relaxation techniques?

Thank You

Thank you Diane,

I actually emailed the man who produced the hypnosis CD a couple of days ago

about this problem. He was extremely helpful and recommended a few people in my

area who would be able to help. He seemed to totally 'get' this problem and this

gave me faith. I'm glad to hear the CD is working! xx

Yes, it does have you imagining the exposures but it is done in multiple periods

of time ( maybe 15 seconds each time).
