Guest guest
Nevin, I can't answer your questions - but our daughter has used caprylic acid along with Kirkman's yeast-aid for at least 2 years. Her doctor also prescribed diflucan for 1 year. I only gave her 1/2 today - but he recommended 100mg. for a year. She has her liver checked every 3-4 months. Shari citrobacter freundii! Hello friends, I am extremely anxious at the moment. My son had Comprehensive stool analysis/parasitology test recently.A part from the yeast and nasty blastocystis hominis ,the test indicated that there are citrobacter freundii 4+ ..dysbiotic flora. His Dr recommended Metrodinazole. When I looked at the lab.recommendation, this medicine is for blastocystis hominis not for the citrobacter.I searched the google and I was so frigtehened to read..It came up " this bacteria is often associated with neonatal meningitis and brain abcess if it cross the blood brain barrier. " .That's what I understood. According to the lDoctor Data's recommendation this bacteria is sensitive to the caprylic acid, oregano and uva ursi as natural agents. It is also sensitive to the ceftriaxone drug treatment according to my search .If I use caprylic acid, how long can it be safely used? I also ordered advanced biocidin for yeast problem but I haven't started yet. I would like to start eliminating this nasty bacteria first without loosing any time but I don't know which way should I follow? Has anyone experienced with this citrobacter freundii before? I would appreciate if you share your thoughts, please. Thanks nevin
Guest guest
Nevin: Did the sensitivities show citro to be sensitive to metronidazole? If so, and since it works for the BH, I would not hesitate to use it. I have used it on many hundreds of children effectively without any side effects (except for its taste, but all these natural and px drugs that kill bugs taste terrible.) Caprylic can be used for long periods of time without problems; what I do not use on a steady basis for very long is Uva Ursi or Echinacea - these are both known to be hard on the liver if used too long. If I stay with the naturals I alternate Uva and Caprylic, and then can use them for 3 months at a time without problems. In fact, after 2 courses of metronidazole of 10 days each with 4 days off between courses to let the eggs hatch out, I usually follow with these naturals for maintenance for several months to prevent recurrence. Many, many of our kids have citro and I have never seen meningitis or brain abscess.
