Guest guest
Some MD groups have developed a system called open access (OA) where patients are given the opportunity to get an appointment on the day they call ( " Do today's work today " ). They have eliminated waiting lists and are able to give patients " exactly the care they want and need, exactly when they want and need it " . It is now being championed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement http://www.ihi.org . Has anyone tried to implement (OA) in their out-patient departments? If so, what have been your experiences?
