Snow here too

Hi group,

We had about 10 inches of snow even though they only forecast 2 in.

It was nice that some guys were out driving around looking for

driveways to shovel--they had us cleared out in no time so we could

go to church. It was the kids' Christmas pageant and TJ was a very

reluctant shepherd.

Went to see the pain doc this morning, and he has increased my meds.

again--now up to 900 mg. neurontin 3 times a day, 100 mg. Ultram 3

times a day, and 100 mg. Zoloft in the evening. He is quite

interested in Dercum's, and in finding solutions to my unique pain

problems. He questioned me thorougly about my pain, and seems

concerned about the joint pain. I told him the nsaids didn't seem to

have much effect on my hip, elbow, shoulder, and hand pain but then

neither does the ultram. He does want to keep an eye on the problems

I've been having with dry mouth, nose & eyes in spite of using a

vaporizer in our bedroom. It may be the zoloft, but I hate waking up

with my lips stuck to my teeth, can't swallow (no spit) and now have

sores in my mouth and nose.

OK, hands are starting to hurt and making lots of mistakes typing, so

I'd better go heat up my rice bag. I have hinted to family I'd like

one of those heated foot massagers (not the water kind, but the one

that looks like a big slipper) for Christmas. Will try to bake

cookies tomorrow while Ron works on his Danish woven hearts.

I'll try for some individual posts later this week, but I need to get

some energy as Mr. Dercum has drained most of mine, greedy s.o.b.!

Peace,

Judi
