Guest guest
Hi Lori, I would go for it. First, you need to remember your past is not on trial here. It may be embarrassing at times but that is all. If you took medication in the past, I guarantee the defendants attorney will rake you over the coals for abuse being a contributing factor. I had been given a drug called flexeril, it put me into anaphylactic shock. That was a different car accident, and we weren't going to follow up with it since I only hurt my shoulder. Then when I almost died my lawyer decided to go ahead with it. Well, the fact that I had taken medication in the past was a huge issue with the other side. They tried to say I must have mixed something with the flexeril. This was a very maddening portion of the hour (YIKES) deposition I was put through. It would be worth some anger to get the beast though. Go to Jo for the site with stress involving rsd. I personally don't know of any. Try all the links at the main site. I think we pretty much have most rsd info that is out there listed! @rsd ......his email is roomblue@... Good Luck Lori, and I say GO FOR IT!!!!!! Maybe you should join a relaxation group before hand though! LOL Seriously, maybe not so funny, it is actually a good idea. Yoga, Tai Chi or relaxation therapy are a few to consider. I like to do my own regimen. Music sometimes, in or out, breathing deeply between each word of a prayer or song, or just talking to yourself out loud. The key to deep breathing is to make sure that when you breath in, your stomach goes out not in. No charge this time. Guest guest
Hi Lori, I haven't had much time to think about this, but I wanted to respond. First of all, I think that you should go for it. Be prepared, though for some moments you wish you hadn't. Remember that you did not do this to yourself, though, and your past has not much to do with all of it. I would not, at this point, let anyone tape record you. Not even your own attorneys. Write down what you need to, put it in order, make sure you're specific about things that happened or you believe happened due to this circumstance only. Don't give dates without being sure, tell them you aren't sure and have to check. No one remembers everything, and if you have RSD, well that's a whole other story. Relax, put it on paper, I'm sure when you do, you'll feel much more comfortable with what you're saying. Note to all: A good reason to keep a pain journal and a daily journal. I know it's difficult, I don't do it myself, but I'm much better at giving than taking advice! LOL. Hugs, Jo
