I have certain visual triggers like that, but its usually someone close to me mannerisms. Like if they have a particular repetitive mannerism that for some reason, sets me on edge, not for any good reason really, just does. And you know they are going to keep doing it, and you are going to be uncomfortable when they do, so its like you are constantly waiting for it, and then waiting for it to be over. argggAlso my parents have a tendency to play with their paper napkins. And the paper rustling noise bothers me because it has become very loud and instrusive in my brain and I can't not listen to it. I have been know to take the napkins away from them, okay my mom's not by dad's.To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Wed, February 17, 2010 8:34:54 PMSubject: strange visual triggers

For a few years now I've had this visual trigger, and I'm now wondering if it's related to 4S...It drives me crazy when people hold used tissues or napkins in their hand, folded or crumpled in a partial fist. It gives me the same "I have to stop this" feeling as other triggers. Gosh, I'm hard to please--am I not happy enough that they at least use a tissue instead of snorting? Why do I have to insist (at least in my head) that they then immediately dispose of it? I might use the pretext that it is "gross", but I really don't think it's a matter of germ-freakishness considering the fact that I would gladly take the tissue out of their hand with my own bare hands and throw it in the trash for them.

So it this part and parcel of 4S, related to my biggest trigger--sniffling?
