the vast majority should not!

the conventional " rule of thumb " in the industry is:

for newborns up to about 2 months, only lavender (not lavandin or spike

lavender) and roman or german chamomile. perhap fennel or dill in case of

colic.

actually most aromatherapy books will have a breakdown on this... I know

that Worwood's introductory book does, as does Colleen K.

Dodt's infant and childcare book.

when you consider how powerful many of the oils are, do you want to risk

irritating a baby's skin, creating an allergy, or affecting an immature

nervous system?

the other thing to remember is that when being used on an infant, the safe

oils are used at extremely low dilutions.
