Guest guest
Well, Happy birthday Machelle! So, you'll wait until Saturday-it will just make your birthday seem to last that much longer! You're right...you can stick with anything for twelve weeks. After you have, you'll know you can...and then there's the next twelve-and the next. Because in the long run, it's not really about twelve weeks, is it? It's about a lifestyle. Good luck to all. > > Hello, I hope everyone is on track and doing well. Today was HIIT for > me. I had a very good workout. It is also my birthday. My honey asked > what I wanted to do and as most " celebrations " involve food I have > decided to postpone that part till Saturday. Guest guest
I hope you enjoyed your birthday celebration or will enjoy on Saturday or did you end up celebrating yesterday? There is nothing wrong with postponing the celebration or having it on the day it happens since it is only once per year. Andy > > Hello, I hope everyone is on track and doing well. Guest guest
I've heard for most people, it takes about 6 months for new habits to form. If you make it 6 months, your chances greatly increase that you will continue the habits for life. Of course there are still going to be weeks that are less than ideal, but we should just forget them and move on. Guest guest
Well if I am correct...C2 means Challenge 2 (meaning they completed the first challenge) D3 means day 3...or D4 (day 4) and so on...I hope this helps some. I have previously competesd in a Body for Life Challenge (4 years ag) and did really well. Unfortunately, I elt " life " get in the way and I gained everything back and then some. Well, on Monday I am going to start again with my workouts. I will need some help and support....I had a GREAT support system 4 years ago. She moved away and we lost touch...so please I know you all are a wonderful gorup. You will hearfrom me often....

Guest guest
Hey Andy, thanks I did have a great birthday and I am postponing my " treats " till saturday. Not for any guilt ridden reason, I would just rather not interrupt my plan with the sugar spike or the late day " fill-up " . We went on a cruise once prior to BFL and while everyone gorged on the all you can eat EVERYTHING, I was in heaven at the salad bar and the fresh fruit. I actually lost weight during the 7 day heavenly experience. I have always leaned toward healthy eating as my preference. I suppose this is why the BFL nutrition plan has really not been a problem for me. The problem more lies in accomodating EVERYONE at meal times. So, pushing the cake till saturday really wasn't a huge dilema for me. How is the running going? Any races coming up? Have a great day! Guest guest
I will have to remember that for when I go on a cruise some day. I love fresh fruit and fear I would gain about 10 lbs on a cruise by eating bad stuff. I love sweets as well. Running is going great. I'm also biking and eventually I will do a triathlon once I get some help with the swimming. I did my first 40 mile bike ride Tues night. Previously, I had biked 30 miles. Eventually, I hope to do 100 miles by next year. Here's my upcoming races through October and there may be one or 2 other 5Ks that I don't know about yet, but really much room on this schedule. September 4th-Heart of America Marathon September 16-Chevy's Mexican Independence Day 5K Run September 24-Sedalia Fall Duathlon (5K Run/20K Bike/5K Run) October 1-Columbia Half Marathon Challenge October 22nd-Chicago Marathon I went to a PT in May/June for an ankle and tibia pain problem. Since I am now wearing some over the counter inserts that he recommended, I have much less ankle pain after my long runs. I'm well enough that I can walk normally and even run the next day. One more long run this weekend and then I taper for the marathon on Labor day. Andy > > Hey Andy, thanks I did have a great birthday and I am postponing > my " treats " till saturday.
