Tony,

Here are My Travel Tips for BFL.

Planning is the key. If you plan you can successfully stay on BFL

on the road but it is more challenging.

WORKOUTS: Where are you going to train?

YMCAs are nationwide

Hotels – Many hotels have at least a limited workout room. You

probably won't get a good free weight workout but you can do

something.

Resist A Bands: You can purchase a set for a minimal amount of

money and bring them with you.

Be Flixable but don't give up BFL. No free weights at the hotel,

can you use machines? Can you do back to back cardio? Some workout

is better than none.

TRAVEL DAYS: Airlines and airports are not good places to find BFL

approved food. I pack 2 BFL meals for the day I travel (Turkey

sandwich with a side of bell peppers), meal replacement bars and

several water bottles. You never know how long you'll end up at the

airport. Try to have your return day be a free day.

FOOD: Where are you going to eat?

Quizno's Subs has all fresh ingredients and variable portion sizes.

I've successfully eaten here on the road before. I have them make a

special grilled chicken breast sandwich with sweet bell peppers on

wheat bread (Protein + Carb + Veggie) and water. Watch out for house

sauces. I look them up in advance on the Internet.

If you find a restaurant to get a good BFL meal, plan on eating

there as much as possible.

Find a local supermarket for Cottage Cheese/yogurt and water

bottles. Some grocery stores will make a sandwich at the meat

counter. If your hotel has a mini fridge & microwave this will help

a lot.

Pack plastic spoons/forks/knifes. Bring a shaker and plenty of

Myoplex packets for shakes.

MR bars are a must!

I use the web to locate a Health food store nearby so I can buy a

MRB or shake if I forget anything or run out.

Dining Out: When you have to eat out there are better and worse

menu items. At least order the better stuff.

Most better restaurants will make items to order. If you have to,

tell them you're allergic/diabetic or it's against your religion to

eat certain items. A white lie is better than falling off BFL.

Restaurant portions are HUGE. Consider asking the waiter to put

half your order immediately in a take home bag or segregate it on

your plate.

Good luck! Remember that it will be tougher on the road but you can

do it.

Wow Charlie!! Excellent tips for the traveler! Would you mind

posting this to the files section? It would be a shame to have this

great info lost in the massive amount of messages on the list.

Thanks for some great info!

Glad you enjoyed it. Obviously, I made a few business trips during

C1.

I posted a cleaned up version in the files section.
