Guest guest
And the biopsy is for... ???? <g> We've had a nice weekend, and our living room needing new texture and paint is still needing it. LOL My husband and younger son are both up in the mountains right now. It's bow hunting season, for deer. <g> My husband did call Saturday afternoon and let us know they were there safely, as of Friday night, and joked about us coming up the next day. (I found out later he wasn't joking, I just thought he was lol). Then, the other two boys, the two girls, and I all headed up early yesterday morning and surprised the two campers. lol It was a bit warm for a short time, but that didn't last. What a beautiful day! When the kids and I got there, both campers were out. We hoped to *hide* the car, but I figured we'd be unsuccessful. lol Then the guys wanted to *hide* us. They set a walkie-talkie on the camp table, and carried the other two off with us. We waited. As soon as the campers pulled in, they started honking the horn. They saw the car. But the two older boys wanted to stay *hidden*. We did. And used the walkie-talkies, saying such things as "elk call; bugle, bugle, crunch, crunch, heavy footsteps". Yes, wit runs high in older teen boys. ROFL (I shouldn't laugh maybe... it was me they got to say everything into the walkie-talkies lolol). It worked well enough to give lots of laughs though. ) The ferns are still covering the forest floor, mushrooms are everywhere!! The breeze blew through the trees, cooling us and lending that peaceful sound of pines in such a breeze. ) We drove back home last night (it's about an hour and a half drive), and are waiting for the campers to return this afternoon/evening. To a living room without paint on one redone wall for over a year, easily. LOLOL We're waiting "for the right time". And money. LOL Hugs, Challis Just wanted to take a second and check in with you all. I am exhausted after painting on friday, and having a hard time finding my way out of it. My eyesite is also still "bad" but GOOD news is I have a neurology appointment tomorrow at 10:30 and I get new carpeting tomorrow morning! Once I get past the biopsy on Wed. all things shall be looking up again!!! Hope you all have a WONDEFUL upcoming week! Anita

Guest guest
Hey you know what? I don't know if I did or didn't. For the sake of uncertainty I"ll do it again. Saturday we went to an airshow at the local airfield. I must not read to good because it turned out to be a remote control airshow. There were some very experienced "pilots" flying the biggest model airplanes I've ever seen. In addition to those RC fliers we saw one real plane land and then take off. There was a gyrocopter, an ultralight plane, a flying lawnmower and a fool on a bike with styrofoam wings on his back trying to take off on the runway. There were some flying crafts for the kids, a candy drop, and a "bombing" of toilet paper rolls let off from the planes. The wind put a damper on that tho and the TP probably ended up in Canada. We watched one plane crash at which point Charity had a fit thinking someone had been injured. It took alot of explaining to make her understand that the planes were not real and that someone on the ground with a machine was flying them. She stood up when we saw it crash in the field and told all the specatators to pray. She cheered loudly when the "scavenger" team came out of the field with the fuselage. Thanks to the wind several planes ended up victims. That gyroplane was the coolest tho and the baby clapped, hooted, and hollered when it flew right over head. We also went on a trip just outside the town of Webb up north to a little community called Beaver Creek. It is like a throwback to the 1800's with no "real" roads and no access to the highway or neighboring towns except via railroad and boat. Any transportation in the village is by 4 wheeler, bikes, feet, and the occasional horse and buggy. Along the shore there is some lodging businesses and several seasonal cottages. On the main drag is the business district, 1 general store, 1 bar, 1 restaurant, 1 dr, and 1 church. The best part, we are moving there, into a place my aunt and uncle own while they travel the world. I'll be living out my dream of a real life "Little House on the Prairie" Any body leaving has to do so via boat or train and medical emergencies are picked up by helicopter. The Adirondack Railroad drops off and picks up right at the little depot. It is like taking a step back in time. WeavinnRaftin@... wrote: LOL Maybe. Have you shared your weekend adventures with the list?? ) Challis Now that does sound like a good time. I think we are in competition to see who had the MOST fun this weekend LOL.
