Guest guest
Hi all, I'm back. I did my first challenge a few years ago and at the end was in great shape and did a half marathon right afterwards. The support from this group at that time was incredible. Unfortunately, my week 13 turned into a 3 year celebration and I gained all my weight back and more. And, in conjunction with that, I hurt my knees and stopped working out. That's not going to happen this time. I just completed a challenge again last week. I lost about 20lbs and 4 inches on my stomach area along with gaining a lot of strength and energy. I'm now in week 13 again. Things are going to be different though. I'm all psyched to start challenge #2 on Monday. I also have an appointment to get my body fat % via the dunk tank method. I'm all stocked on Myoplex shake mix and meal replacement bars. I've spent a lot of time lurking on the board the last couple months but refused to do any posting until I could get back to where I was a few years ago. I was amazed to find that there are still people posting on this board that were doing it 3 years ago also. You guys are awesome. Goals for challenge #2: Lose 15 lbs: Go from 185 to 170 Lose 8% to 10% body fat Bench 200lbs 25 minute 5k Thanking you in advance for all the help and support I'm sure you'll give me :-) Jon
Guest guest
Welcome back Jon! I'm glad you rewarded yourself for a successful challenge by posting again. It's hard to believe that I've been on this board for over 5 years and there are others too! Then there are the people that always come back and we get new people as well. This is a great group. Good luck on your great goals! Take the weight off and I'm sure your 5K time will go down. Andy > Hi all, > > I'm back. Guest guest
Welcome back, Jon. It's so good to hear about your recent success over the past 12 weeks--and that was without us supporting you and your efforts! Just think of what you'll be able to accomplish in the next 12 weeks AND BEYOND. It sounds like you've really made a new commitment to your health, and that you've moved from the " 12 week " mindset to the " rest-of-my-life " minsdet. Again, congratulations, and we're glad to have you back! > > Hi all, > > I'm back.
