Guest guest
Hi Ian,Thanks for the links. My shrink is a Supervisor/Course Advisor for the Master's in Psychiatry at Sydney Uni. I'll see if I can find out more.Best,Ingrid.Hi Ingrid. I keep looking at neuro-feedback websites and wondering about them too. I would love to know whether 4S reactions show up as something unusual on their QEEGs. I understand that someone in the Psych department at Sydney Uni is doing a research project on neuro-feedback and ADHD. I am still not sure whether it is "mainstream" or "alternative" - all the research I see about neuro-feedback seems to be undertaken by people who are converts to the cause. I'd love to see some independent validation (hence my interest in someone at Sydney Uni looking into it).>> Dear all,> > It's been a long time since I've posted here on the forum... for those > who don't know me, I found this group two years ago. Guest guest
Hey Darlene,Great to hear you again. Hey, I watched in silent horror the various posts some months about the 4S Wikipedia article.Am I right in thinking that the usual suspects were involved in that?It wasn't going to be good for my 'mental health' to get involved :-)BestIngrid.Ingrid! Good to see you again! I have had neurofeedback suggested to me as well and have read up on it quite a bit. I think if you have the ability to do it, I would try it. What have you got to lose right? I think it may be a lot like CBT, where it helps you cope, but doesn't take the problem away. But, any relief is better than none! >> Dear all,> > It's been a long time since I've posted here on the forum... for those > who don't know me, I found this group two years ago. Guest guest
It's possible that the Freeze-Framer software they are speaking of is what the emWave software used to be called. To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Tue, September 14, 2010 1:45:02 AMSubject: Re: Has any one tried neurofeedback for 4S? Also called neurotherapy, neurobiofeedback or EEG biofeedback I should have been clearer - the research project on biofeedback and ADHD was/is in the Psychology Department at Sydney Uni - here is a link: http://www2.fhs.usyd.edu.au/arow/biofeedback4adhd/ PS: in case you're going and notice me cringing at gum chewers, I'll be at the WebDirections South conference in October. > > > > Dear all, > > > > It's been a long time since I've posted here on the forum... for > those > > who don't know me, I found this group two years ago.
