Guest guest
Liz...Nice to hear from you again... Yes we are marching band people...although it will probably be coming to an end soon...Ty only has the one more year in high school and I don't thing he will do it in college...Hes planning on going to North Eastern in Boston and I think with his health that college will be enough... My other son who also did band and then Drum and Bugle Corp has aged out of Junior corp..he was in Cadets of Bergen County 2 years ago when they were champs and then again this past year... But he does write the shows for 2 different high schools here in NJ and teaches so we go a couple of times to see his work... His senior year he was the soloist(he played melaphone) and the last song he ended on these boxes....doing " Send in the Clowns " Ty was only in the 7th grade but they wanted a clown in the guard for the entire show....So they asked Ty to do it...The Ham that he is plus he got to go on the guard bus with all the girls....hes no fool...Anyways the solo ended with Ty also getting up on the boxes with his brother....Now there is a picture....I kept thinking please get that shot....Well at the end of the show at Giant Stadium there were my 2 boys on the giant screen....for a nice long shot...never happen again...was really nice...So even though he missed Giant Stadium he still got 4 years there...LOL Ty goes for his remicade infusion this week at Childrens Hosp...it will be his 3rd and it takes about 3 hours....He needs to have some labs done too...hoping that everything will at least be in line... Well I'll talk to you soon... Take care... Luanne Ty's mom
Guest guest
Luanne, Hope all goes well with Ty and his treatment. We looked at Northeastern last year too. It is a nice school and Boston is definitely a great college town. My son's first choice for a while was Boston College, but when he saw Fordham he felt very at home so thats where he is. Good thing as he got wait listed for Boston. The competition to get in there is very fierce. I am glad he wasn't disappointed. I, as always, will keep Ty in my prayers.
