Not really I > lie, but I worry I curse myself when I talk about these things because > then it is as though I fail if I don't meet the weight goals. Know what > I mean? ah weight goals. i know them well. i think that the first thing that everyone thinks about is pounds and being fit/healthy comes secondary. and that is perfectly fine at first, because we have to start somewhere. however, when i found myself not meeting my early goals which were based on weight, i had to re-examine the whole thing... dig deep to discover what i really wanted to achieve from the whole process and realized that this journey is definately not all about a reading on a scale. if i had depended on weight loss as my only goal then i would have quit a long time ago. and yes i did feel like a failure when i didnt meet those early weight goals that i had set -- and i look back at it now and think about how silly they really were -- because really it is hard to set weight goals... and it is easy to fail to meet them. so it is wise of you to know that our goals cant all be about pounds -- to tell yourself that there are many many other reasons to live well and to give them, at least, equal consideration. sure, the weight goals can be there and they can still be important, but they need to be part of a whole big plan... not make up the plan solely on their own. it is very easy to achieve other meaningful goals from exercising and eating properly and that sure comes in handy when a secondary weight goal might not happen. so celebrate achieving your weight goals, but also celebrate the numerous other things that you have also achieved. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
