Hello Everyone: We are still at the transplant center. Have been here since

April 1st. My husband had his 2nd dialysis treatment today due to hepato-renal

syndrome. When they put the line in a few days ago they had to sedate him. His

ammonia was up that day to begin with and when they sedated him for the

proceedure they couldn't wake him up. It took 2 days of lactulose enemas to get

the ammonia out of his system. His liver dr was in this am and said that his

meld score is now 34 and he will more than likely not leave the hospital without

a new liver. We are hoping to get one pretty quick. Jackie

Jackie, I so wish I were closer so I could be there to help you out, if

nothing else just to sit with you and offer a listening ear. I am praying

that liver becomes available TODAY! Thank you so much for keeping us

updated so we'll know how to pray. My heart is with you......

I'll be sending up my prayers tonight for your husband, as well, Jackie. (I

know it's silly, but I pray only right before I go to bed -- hence the

" tonight " ).
