Guest guest
Gosh, Machelle, thanks for the compliment..........but.........I hate to burst your bubble but I feel I should tell you that alot of my muscle definition (especially my biceps) are a by-product of the grueling, intense physical aspects of my daily line-of-work (farming). I was almost embarassed by my arms when I was in high school.....no other girls had biceps like mine (I had to help milk and do farm stuff even when I was in junior high). I showed beef cattle when I was in school, and I had to carry feed and all that good stuff that went along with it. Responsibility, you know.........) I always felt like I should apologize for not looking very feminine when I was in school.........I always said it was almost indecent, I had arms like a linebacker. So, 50 plus years of working like a man is starting to make me look good, eh??? LOL As a real " off topic " remark, I am going to insert this, just because Spouse even thought it was funny when I said it, but said it was probably the truth.......He was watching something on TV about Sturgis or some other big bike deal, and the announcer guy was asking some girls why they like the Harleys. Their fluff remarks were " Ohhhh.........it's the noise, we love the way they sound " . I told Spouse, " well, if anyone asked ME why I rode a Harley, this is what I would tell them.............All my life I've done a man's work, by God I'm gonna ride a man's bike " . (I always thought that a Harley was a REAL man's bike, still do, I guess). So, that is my take on it all. :>) Back to the muscle stuff........I am having a very difficult time building definition in my legs, alot of that is due to the fact that I am on my feet all day long and going from place to place to place. It takes so much more concentrated workouts for legs to even build up the muscle. It's been over 2 years, but in just the last couple of months I have noticed my quads are getting more defined. Calves are gonna be a real toughie for me, tho, but I'm seeing a teensy bit of improvement there too. When you said about girls with low BF and not much definition, are you perhaps seeing pix of Figure competitors? That's a whole 'nother ball game, muscle-wise. Most of them look like emaciated sticks. That's why I don't do well in figure (well, that and I don't know how to " walk the walk " very well either), I am probably a little too muscular. Ok, I have blathered on enough. Just wanted Machelle to know that it isn't all in the daily workouts in the Torture Chamber that does it for me, it's the daily grind AFTER the TC workouts. Z.
