Guest guest
Truthfully Bob... I really like the Chocolate Oatmeal.. I think I have seen Andy mention it a few times on his menus. Its a nice change for me from the 'traditional' oatmeal. This afternoon I made the Egg Salad Sandwich, and it was really great. The recipe calls for boiling four eggs, and to take one of the yolks and combine it with the four egg whites. Next, it says to thow away the 3 boiled yolks.. I had a hard time throwing those away.. I put them in a tupperware container thinking they can be used for left-overs in something.. I'll have to research these in the USDA food database to see if the nutrition value of the egg yolk is worthwhile. I know there is a downside to the cholesterol and fat, but I think there is an upside to the protein benefit? We'll see. :-) BTW, I found that there was enough egg salad within the recipe to put on three or four sandwiches so its great for a leftover lunch for tomorrow or Sunday. --Fred > Fred, > > How did you like the baby-poo? Guest guest
I should probably mention that I now mix it about half and half with oat bran or cracked wheat, then add the protein powder, sugar free Nesquik for extra sweetener, and 1/2 tbsp peanut butter per serving. I like it better mixed with another grain than using all oatmeal. If I have eggs with my oatmeal, I sweeten with a tsp of Splenda, cinnamon, and a tsp of pecans. Andy > Truthfully Bob...
