This question is for anyone that can answer. We know that needs a bigger decompression and one of the symptoms that she deals with on a daily basis is eye pain/pressure. But she has other eye problems and already has damage to her optic nerves from other causes. While I definitely believe that her eye pain is Chairi related, because of her inability to really explain what she is feeling, it's really hard to say 100%. So, is there any different type of testing other than a normal eye exam where your eyes are dialated to tell if there is optic nerve swelling? If she already has damage to the optic nerves will they be able to tell if there is swelling?? Guess I really need to find her another opthamologist - the one she has seen forever and ever is one that told me in the beginning that Chiari wouldn't cause eye pain, " because you know the Chiari Malformation is in the back of the head and your eyes are in the front of the head " . Haven't brought her back for her much overdue yearly eye exam, because his response was just plain ole dumb!! Tory ('s mom)
Guest guest
Absolutely brilliant! You're an inspiration to all the parents on this group. Parents should never listen to that nonsense. --penumbra > I was told he would never walk, talk, survive past 5 or 8 yrs old.
