I can imagine you probably need to talk about it, and you cant' sit there and discuss much with the kids. I just wasn't sure if stalling the divorce was good or bad for you. But I see your point. I'm very sorry that all this has happened. You truly deserve so much better. Kerri

Guest guest
> Salli, > Why would you have to pay COBRA benefits for the kids? Did I sound as if I would? No, the COBRA would just be for me. Generally if the > father has medical benefits, he HAS to keep covering his children! Even > after the divorce is final. Ask your attorney to put it in the settlement. > I can't wait to hear what his settlement offer is : O > I bet you can't either! I am wondering what it will say. I would think it would surely be something that they would believe I would accept if he really wants to avoid mediation. It's just that measly $35,000 that is going to muck up the works. I am not sure why my lawyer hasn't told his lawyer; doesn't want to show her full hand? I trust her. > Gee, does this mean he figured out he was wrong before when he told you that > he could get by on so little money?? Well, he has new clothes all the time, new leather jacket, new guitar, new shoes and pants and he has never been willing to dress cheaply. And he has a new car and all that on $800 a month (I am not kidding...) His apartment is tiny and cheap (around $300 a month). Still, I think he must be going into debt on the expectation that he will be getting big bucks from his equity. Salli
