Fats do not raise my bg, carbs only, and protein at some degree, but only minor. The sauce on pizza has sugar and tomato is a fruit anyway, so I have to go easy on that. Its fine to do what diet you want, but your body seems to disagree here, :-) High bg will make one sleepy and very tired. carol

Guest guest
Thanks for the good advise, Carol. The thing is some of the things I eat, I don't have trouble with if I eat it in moderation, and my body's reactions are what is changing. When I eat something I have regularly, and my reaction changes, there's something going on with my body. It might be I can't eat that food any more, but it might be my meds arent working for me any more, It might be my pancreas is shutting down more (BTW, genetically, my dad was a type 2 and had to go on insulin, and so this is in my genes). And, I mean this in a nice way, I'm not following a diet of my choice, but what my doctor and my dietician say is best for me. And I need to follow their advise, because they know my medical history. He doesn't know my new problems yet, because he works a late shift today, so I'm waiting for his call. And he's done an exellent job so far. Thank you so much for the help, though. I also tend to forget that tomatoes have carbs, and sauces. When I have spaghetti for my family, I make my own, so there's only the carbs from the tomatoes, I don't add sugar. Please don't take offense, I haven't either, and you are a big help to me. I am cutting back on the carbs, or I might split my meals into smaller ones more often, than three big ones a day, until I find out what is going on. Love, Debbie I do try to do whole wheat buns, and when I go to Carls jr thats what they have. Burger king's sandwiches have HUGE buns and I always eat only part of it, but there might be something the do preparing their food, even the buns that is too carby. > Its fine to do what diet you want, but your body seems to disagree here, :-) > High bg will make one sleepy and very tired. > carol > > >

No way!!! LOL and even though the carb count is only 3-4 a slice, its only about half the size of a regular slice of bread, sure they are really good, but not worth the price. carol

Guest guest
Hi Madge, I agree....I think rolls are higher in carbs but check it out oh guess what!! my hubby who is diabetic 2 has been eating those sweet roll things with icing on them for breakfast! they are small but still!! I told him to at least cut them in half! UG! can't change a 71yo can you??! LOL...not good I know! I did notice how he sat sort of facing AWAY from me at the table when I went to give him his egg and ham. anyways...I went to Bakery where they sell day old bread. I try and get the least carb bread I can. I did find 11 carbs and will have to look at the label for you all. It is just a simple bread...of course...haha..if you get stuff in it you seem to get more carbs hugs, Coleen Re: Acceptable numbers? ---I have a Giant near me. I will look there.
