Our SNF does transport patients to HD. We are a hospital based SNF, but are

not affiliated with the hospital - we simply lease the floor. Our HD

patients are taken to the hospital's outpatient dialysis unit for the tx. We

use either the hospital's security service to transport the patient via WC,

or we use our CNA's as transport. If the patient has to be transported by

stretcher, then we have to pay for it, which is taken out of the PPS rate.

Therefore we do consider this before accepting a patient for tx.
