Guest guest
Okay, I have filled the Valtrex prescription and plan on starting my 4yr ASD son on it in two weeks during his spring break. Anything I should do to prepare? He is also a very yeasty kid and is on nystatin 3x a day and I try really hard to avoid giving him yeast feeding foods. Although he loves fruit so that one is hard to avoid. I have read that Valtrex can flair up yeast, anything I can to do to help minimize this? Also, what should I expect during this treatment and for how long? My son is doing so well and seems to be almost recovered aside from tons of stimming still(which I believe is due to yeast) this is one of our last things we haven't tried yet. How will I know it is working? Sorry for all the questions, thanks for any help!
Guest guest
Pretty much. Just start watering down the grape juice a little more each time for giving the supplements. I think you should try Amla (Paradise Herbs is a good brand), it is just as potent as Nystatin against yeast and is also a strong antioxidant, and yes, biotin would be good. > > We have been doing low sugar except for the fruit, so are pears the only safe fruit when you are battling yeast? We also give a little white grape juice daily just to get his supplements down him, is that okay? Should I wait longer than two weeks to start valtrex? I already give him nystatin, what about adding biotin? >
