It is estimated that prenatal influenza exposure may account for about 14 percent of schizophrenia cases. Brown suggested that until more is known, pregnant mothers should not receive the flu vaccine as it could have a harmful effect. Also: The flu vaccine typically contains thimerosal, a preservative containing neuro-toxic mercury. The authors examine the possible mechanism involved. Two grams daily of omega-3 fatty acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), was given over six months and showed a therapeutic effect. After three months the EPA levels had increased five fold in red blood cells. Effects of omega-3 fatty acid in patients with schizophrenia NEW BEHAVIOR CHARTS!
