Guest guest
While I agree with that having multiple attempts at IV sites is not a lot of fun, from personal experience it was hell, central lines are not without risk. They are usually inserted into major veins in the neck or upper chest. From either entry site there is a risk of lung puncture and subsequent pneumothorax (air between the lung and the chest wall leading to lung collapse and sometimes death). There is also a risk of puncture or laceration of the major veins or arteries, and therefore a risk of death due to bleeding. So, while they may be very small, these risks are significant and that is why a lot of docs are so quite to put in central lines. In good hands under ideal conditions they are a great way to access the blood system. But things do happen. , I know that Rheumatoid arthrits, MS and other autoimmune diseases sometimes get better during pregnancy and sometimes flare afterwards. Whether these are true flares or just the disease returning to it's previous state, it's difficult to say. , the colon mainly regulates water reabsorption from the stool. It isn't involved in absorption of vitamins or other essential elements. Although water is very important. Forget all that stuff about candida, it's a myth. Taking a multivit and eating a balanced diet is all you have to do to get the essential nutrients. As for your mouth sores, these are nasty things whose mechanism of action (how they happen) hasn't been figured out. Sometimes they happen when we indulge in too much citrus fruit. Sometimes it's some other food. They are usually benign and go away in short order after annoying us to the max. Best of luck with it.
