Guest guest
you will need to use the germall at about 1% as a preservative. any kind of scrub that may get water in it needs a preservative. hope this helps. when is she leaving and for how long? deb Preservative for sugar/salt scrub advice needed I have a youngster at camp who gets very grimy. I found a couple sugar scrub recipes that I thought I could try. If anyone has a favorite without exotci ingredients( I can do those later) would love to try them out. Okay at home I have Covi-ox T-50 (vit.e) and liquid germall. Most of the recipes I found are sugar and oil, and fo/eo's for fragrance. Can I use them to preserve? Thanks in advance (as always!) Covi-ox T-50 is an antioxidant and will retard rancidity. Liquid Germall Plus is used in water soluble systems. If your scrub is anhydrous (with out water), you'll need a preservative that is oil soluble. Phenonip is one choice. Here are some others. http://www.ispcorp.com/products/preservatives/content/selguide/anhyd.h tml Maurice
