I'm getting caught up on e-mails so maybe this has already been said.Maybe it gets worse before it gets better.Mine started out with one or two triggers. Now I have TONS.I'm 24.. it will be YEARS before my hearing starts to go. When it does, maybe I will get some relief. But the period in between, more triggers are added and it feels like it is getting worse until that point when you start to lose your hearing and it gets better.†.:. Hi Shirl?,

I will find out about the earplugs. I have seen them but will look it up and send you the link.

I live in Las Vegas,NV USA.

I am glad that I am a man and do not have to live with one. Men can be noiser than women. Unless of course they snap and chomp on gum and eat compulsively.

You really need to get some help dealing with your husband. I think you need to address it and may need some intermediary. It does not sound like a livable situation for either one of you, especially you. That's just my opinion. I wish you luck. At least just keep venting here for now.

I'm 50 and it has gotten worse over the years, as well. If age is an indicator of decreased hearing ability, I think those of us with super-sonic hearing may never experience it or will have to wait until we're in our 90s for it to happen.Plus in my case I had about huge gap of only on person who made only 2 trigger sounds effect starting at 8, then a huge jump to 25 when gum cracking and pen clicking from others started to bother me. Each year after that more and more trigger sounds were added to the list. How does one explain that?> >> . . . > > I do not know if this unit will have a positive effect on you with the 4S. Hi , Thanks for your reply. I look forward to receiving the earplugs link. So you are in Las vegas!! I was surprised when I saw that as I have been to Las Vegas! I have been in Caesars Palace, Flamingo Hilton, Golden Nugget etc. It was about 20 years ago though. I was on a tour of California, Arizona and Nevada. What a marvellous trip! I live in Southport in the UK. Thats just 20 miles north of Liverpool where the Beetles come from.

Yes I need to do something about my husband dont I. In fact I need to do something about my 4s as it drives me crazy and its made worse when nobody takes me seriously. I have suffered with anxiety over the years and have only just got over my 4th breakdown in 30 years. This resulted in 3.5 years of anxiety. Nobody was interested then and I was in a living hell. Is this 4s another sort of anxiety do you think?

I should have qualified my statement a bit more..

The vast majority of inquirers or contacts regarding 4S have been from those 50

or under. Mostly those in their 20s or 30s, and then of course the children and

their parents.

I hardly ever hear from anyone over 60. Never anyone over 70 but there may be

other reasons for that, too, i.e., not using the internet for one.

I was not thinking when I said, better with age, in my mind, I was intending to

indicate the 70s and older.

As a young lady of only 55, I consider that of course, to be closer to middle

age haha than old.

Ok, I am old, well somewhat aged at least.

That is what I meant. We know over 60 many people lose high frequency hearing

and that may indeed have a positive effect on 4S, however this is strictly

speculation.
