do NOT know about stress or heredity.

but there was a study done using essential oils to treat alopecia... and a

blend was found effective in a statistically significant number of cases.

There's a description of the study and its results online at

http://www.naturesgift.com/alopecia.htm or do a medline search for it.

the herbal form of some of the oils used has been reputed to help with hair

growth for centuries.

I don't know about sodium lactate beyond its benefits for hydration

(interesting, maybe others can let us know) - emu would be a perfect rub-in for

a dry

scalp and should not be any problem for any scalp - I was thinking of shampoo,

possibly even conditioner.
