Yes. Call. Good luckSent from my iPhone

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone might have a suggestion. My neighbour has 2 lovely dogs. I don't know her very well at all but she leaves the dogs outside for long periods of time when it's totally inappropriate (in my opinion). For example, tonight it is pouring where I am and there have been temperatures of -7c. She has left her dogs outside and one of them keeps barking/ whining very loudly. This is causing me to be quite anxious. I'm assuming it's not just to do with 4S as I think dogs whining constantly could set anyone off and my mind is also racing with 'maybe I should phone the RSPCA...those poor dogs...that's so cruel' which is just making matters worse. Maybe I'm overreacting (in fact, I hope I'm overreacting and this is something that isn't so cruel after all but I can't stand the sound of things in pain, whether babies crying or dogs whining).

I have tried to avoid using my pink noise or using headphones to listen to music but I think I'll have to in this case. I just don't want this to make matters worse :(

Barking dogs is one of the worst things for me. I want to tear someones head off when i hear dogs barking. I've been that way since I can remember. I remember as a kid my dad would dial our neighbors number and start barking on the phone because it bothered him as well. (that was before caller ID) . I sympathize with you. I hesitate going outside to play with my kids because of dogs barking. It sucks and it's not fair to my kids. I just don't want to be irritated while I'm trying to play with them. Then they think they have done something wrong and it has nothing to do with them.

I've been looking into hanging an ultrasound dog barking "trainer" on our fence to see if it would reach far enough to negate our neighbors dogs. I'd sure like to have one that I could amplify, hang it on the chimney and eliminate the dogs barking for a mile around. If anyone knows of such a device, I'm all ears!

As am I! I love dogs but their incessant barking, not so much. In this case

though, it could easily have been prevented because the dogs shouldn't be

outside for such a long time on such a cold night. I agree with it being unfair

to your kids and to you. The ultra sound device you speak of, are they

effective? How do they work? This is news to me!

I bought the $70 ultrasonic bark control device from PetSmart (it looks like a birdhouse) I was in heaven for about 2 months. Now my new neighbor's dog (why I bought the device) barks AT the device. It has just about driven me crazy. I sleep with 2 fans and a humidifier which is very loud and ear plugs EVERY night. My ears are sore, the humidifier isn't working properly at the moment and I lost my earplugs so the last 3 nights have been miserable. I bought new ones tonight so here's hoping!!! I feel and hear your pain!!
