Guest guest
I don't know what I've been smoking but I just looked back and for fat I'm usually around 30%. I don't know why I thought I was at 20 - 25% - I must have dreamed it. So I guess that will be my new goal 25% fat and see what happens. I have 26 pounds to lose before my goal date . .. . 7 days. LOL Oh well. Could have been 36! le
Guest guest
hi rachelle - oh this is so frustrating!! i feel the bummer right along with you :-( yes do drop your % of calories from fat down to 25%. calorie counting is still a mystery to me... i have no idea how many im supposed to have or if the # of cals in a particular food is high or low... lol. i do try to eat low/no fat though. (but now have to start monitoring calories and have no clue :/ so no advice there. what does your workout schedule look like exactly? can you up the cardio, either in intensity or duration or frequency? your lifting is coming along very well!!! do you also use ankle weights? are you doing a variety of cardio and strength workouts (not the same activities over and over)? is there room in your schedule to add even more variety? hang in there... all of this exercise and food modification has to kick in! i know that it is hard to stay positive when it takes so long. but it does help to remember that while you havent lost, you havent gained anything either... and that has to count for something. is it possible to have a medical checkup physical done by your dr to ensure that there is no physical reason why you are struggling with this? *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free with AVG. Guest guest
Thanks . Those hugs are really appreciated. I could have killed Vince tonight - he's one pound from being at his goal weight he wanted to be at when we left for Las Vegas - which is Thursday. And I feel like such a witch because I am really happy for him . . . but it just sucks that I couldn't be going skinnier. I remember last year going and thinking that the next year, I WAS going to be skinnier. Well, I looked it up and I was 173 . . . today I am 176. So that means I'm heavier!!!! Yesterday I bought some capri pants . . . a size 16. The waist it too big but to get it over my stomach - I could have just cried. Then there's Vince trying on jeans he hasn't been able to wear for awhile. Why can't I just be happy for him rather then add the depressed and get down on myself stuff??? The good news is that I was at 26% fat and 1500 calories today. Not the 25% but close. Thanks again . Your post means a lot to me. le > le, > > {{{Big hugs to you}}} I know it's a frustrating situation. Guest guest
I just had my annual exam in November with blood work and everything is okay. I do Taebo Tuesday and Thursday's and the Firm Monday and Wednesday and then usually the Firm cardio on Friday - plus I fit in the treadmill here and there. I'm happy with my workout schedule and if I added any more, I think I would get burnt out. I want to enjoy exercise - it lasts longer that way. LOL Thanks for reminding me about the not gaining. That is so true. And I need to look at the positive things. Thanks Carolyn. le > hi rachelle - > oh this is so frustrating!! i feel the bummer right along with you :-( > yes do drop your % of calories from fat down to 25%. > calorie counting is still a mystery to me... i have no idea how many im > supposed to have or if the # of cals in a particular food is high or low... > lol. i do try to eat low/no fat though. Guest guest
You know what, I'm actually not allergic to anything right now except a bunch of antiobiotics (I only have about one right now that I can take which is actually pretty scary). And most of those medications where during or after I had the hives. My doctor said in most cases with these hives it can be viral and then for some reason it will show up as food. So I've been hive free for almost two years and eating normal foods again since then (we went on vacation where I ate whatever, came home and they disappeared). Too weird. Your memory just amazes me Sandie. It really does. I am a picky eater. Very picky. I am just so proud of myself for trying that new tuna - and I love it on a lettuce salad with fat free italian dressing. LOL Pretty poor I know. Hopefully by changing my fat percentage to 25% from 30%, that will help. I'm crossing my fingers. PS Were you able to find some low airfare to Las Vegas for the race??? I figured you'd let me know if you did but thought I would ask just in case. Cayden was home sick today - Mckenna was sick last weekend. I'm just crossing my fingers and praying real hard that Vince and I don't get it. Thanks Sandie!!!! You are such a wonderful asset to this group. le > In a message dated 2/21/2003 5:47:13 PM Pacific Standard Time, > ravin@b... writes: > > > Vince has lost over 20 pounds and is two pounds from his goal weight > > when we leave for Las Vegas next week . > > Guys lose easier then us. Guest guest
Is from Las Vegas? (oh, memory ... am I already suppose to know this answer????) Hopefully one of these years we'll be able to go at the same time Sandie. I'm thinking we are taking next year off. But who knows - we said that last year and here we are, getting ready to go again. le > In a message dated 2/24/2003 8:38:28 PM Pacific Standard Time, > ravin@b... writes: > > > You know what, I'm actually not allergic to anything right now except > > a bunch of antiobiotics (I only have about one right now that I can > > take which is actually pretty scary). > > That's not good being allergic to meds, but at least you can eat your foods > again. > > So I've been hive free for almost two years and eating > > normal foods again since then (we went on vacation where I ate > > whatever, came home and they disappeared). > > That's great news )!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi le, You probably associate my name with Vegas because I talk about it so often. I am from Chicago. But I go the Vegas 2 or 3 times a year. I really enjoy being there. The food is cheap, the rooms are classy, and the spas are out of this world. I usually stay at the Luxor. But lately we have been talking about staying at the Venetian. We heard their spa is the best in Vegas. Re: I'm so bummed (ot - weight) Is from Las Vegas?
