Guest guest
, What do they attribute your upper body symptoms to. I don't remember if you have Chiari or a shrynx (sp). I have been tested for both and do not have either, however, my upper body symptoms are way worse than my lower body symptoms at the moment. PT has given me great relief from the siatic type nerve pain but has done little for the upper body. I do have carpal tunnel but this usually comes and goes. My most recent flair up has been with me for about 2 months now. I'm not scheduled to see my neurologist until August. I finally filled my script for Skelaxin (muscle relaxer) and took my first dose last night. It did seem to help some, but I'm hesitant to add another drug. I'm taking Zoloft and Detrol LA. I'm 40 and I feel like I'm 60. Thanks for listening. Lynn
Guest guest
I was tested 5 years ago by a very bad neurologist who thought I might have MS and when I didn't he pretty much just dismissed me. When I pressed him for why I have these symptoms, he said " you have a little carpal tunnel in both arms " . I wonder if he would have told me had I not pressed the issue. It was like carpal tunnel was beneath him or something. Anyway, my new neurologist said based on those tests and my symptoms, I most likely have carpal tunne. He did not an MRI with contrast to rule out the other things associated with TSC. I will push this issue more at my next appointment in Aug.
