I took it. I had a really difficult doing the

exercises she made me do in between. Don't know when

I'll hear the results.

Thanks for your interest!! Didn't think anybody cared!

Means a lot that you even mentioned it.

Sure I'm interested! I'm also delighted that you had the gumption to go do

it and that the results will either rule out some possible diagnoses or will

give a clearer picture of the next step to take. I'm sure the test was

stressful...it was stressful for me, too. Besides, it was FREEEEEEZING in

that room. I don't remember anything about exercises in between the sonic

scans and pressure readings.

If you are having a hard time getting the results, then CALL 'EM UP AND GIVE

'EM HELL! Just make yourself a complete pain in the neck until you get what

you want so that you'll quit calling them! The results are there. YOu just

need to know who has them. I'm sure the tests are interpreted the same day.

I was slapped into the hospital three hours after mine! If you can't get

anyone to interpret the results for you, then insist that the lab report be

sent to you directly. Be firm. Be calm. Be unflappable. Track down the

information you want. It totally unnerves them and you deserve to know what

that very involved, long, and uncomfortable test revealed. (oops, did I get

on my soap box again? <g>). The trick is to be nice and yet be unmovable in

your objective.

In the meantime, keep your cholesterol intake as low as possible. Cut out

red meat, butter or margarine (use olive oil), cheese, whole eggs, etc. Get

plenty of sleep, even if you need to take a Benedryl before bedtime to get a

good sleep cycle established. Reduce stress every way you can (I know, I

know)...but there are things to do, like soaking in a bath, meditational

music, all that calming new age stuff.

I have a question about your symptoms. What exactly prompted the Dr. to

order the test? Pain in the legs? upper or lower? discolored toes or feet?

loss of feeling? pain in the thighs or calves when walking but pain subsides

instantly upon stopping? something else?

I hope it's not nosy to ask, but having recently been through...well...what

I've been through (I posted about it before), I want to reach out and help

you if I can because being informed about something (for me) takes half the

fear out of it, or more.

Keep me posted : )
