Guest guest
Judy, I've been on the Paxil and Buspar since the summer before last when I went into full blown menopause and didn't want to go on HRT. Besides horrendous hot flashes, I was so bitchy I couldn't stand to be around myself, that's bad - you can imagine how those around me felt. I was snapping at everyone and crying at the drop of a hat. The combination seemed to work well and I've been much calmer. But I didn't realize some of the things I was bothered with were due to the drugs. I had problems sleeping so I take a benedryl each night. I was having the sweating spells that I attribute to hot flashes ( in the beginning I'm sure that's what it was - oh, and just prior to getting them I would have a terrible feeling of anxiety, I think that's why she put me on the Buspar) I still having sweeting spells but not the anxiety. Anyway I think the Buspar is helping and when I looked it up on the internet it didn't seem to have any adverse effects that I was experiencing. I think the Paxil was working backwards on me. It's kind of disconcerting when you are prescribed an antidepressant and one of the possible side effects is depression. Huh? Try the Buspar, I started at 5mg twice a day and now take 2 x 10 mg in the morning. Taking the combination in the evening caused be sleep problems so I do best taking them with breakfast. He's got me taking 1 Wellbrutin once a day for 4 days and then increasing it to 2 a day. Do you have any problems with sleep? When is the best time to take them? Thanks for the warning about the headaches. I get them anyhow and wouldn't think to relate it. Are your's purple and does the writing on them turned upside down look like a smiley face to you? I guess they truly are happy pills. Peg Jnieman@... wrote: > In a message dated 01/28/2000 5:38:55 PM Eastern Standard Time, > rfmail6@... writes: > > << Judy, > Thanks for your information on Paxil.
