Guest guest
I have allergies and suffer a lot from sinus problems. Nasalcrom (can now be bought over the counter) has been a big help for me. It is a nasal spray that isn't harmful like afrin but also isn't a steroid. I find it to help better than the steroids. It keeps the sinuses open and stops the junk from draining down. I agree with the humidity thing. When I lived back in the midwest where my heat went all the time I had to have a consol humidifier in my bedroom (had to clean it a lot so it wouldn't be putting out molds) Now in Calif, this is the first year (in almost 15) I've had to put a cool mist counter top humidifier in my bedroom. It's been a very dry year here this year. The doctor has also recommended a saline solution to spray up the nose he said it helps to keep you infection free because of the salt I guess and it thins the mucus. I prefer buying it than making it myself. That's interesting about the infections happening after tx.
