Guest guest
Oh, by the way Phil takes 600 mg of Actigall twice a day - he hasn't had a cholangitis attack since the end of last March. He also takes milk thistle. His labs were the same as last time before he took SAMe but since they weren't elevated before don't know if it was much of a test. We've decided it's not worth the risk of heart problems or the cost at this point. his bili is .5 and the doctor said the alka phos is expected to be higher because of the bile ducts constrictions or something like that. Also when he was reviewing Phil's history with us this morning said that many times there are pockets of bacteria in the constricted bile ducts and an ERCP can get them going and that is what causes the infection. Made sense to me but what do I know. He didn't know about hair loss with Actigall. Phil's got a real mininal amount of hair on the back of his head. Whenever he lays down and it gets pushed to the side it looks like he's got a bald spot, you can even see his scalp through it. Pretty soon we'll probably have the shower drain Spunky's hairball medication. Peg
