Guest guest
I sent this earlier and it got lost in cyberspace, sorry if it shows as a duplicate........ I did my first LBWO with my new routine on Wednesday. (Using lunges and squats as my primaries) Wow!!!! At the first twitch of a muscle this morning to get out of bed I was in PAIN....not discomfort, PAIN!!!! Holy torn up muscles batman!!!! When I finally got myself up the stairs to the bike for my HIIT, I about jump up 3 feet as soon as my (not so large anymore) bottom hit the seat. It hurt to sit! I answered my own question about squat form, I definitly hit my quads!!! My question is this..... My cardio relys heavily on my lower body. When I hit a 10 on cardio, I am hovering very close to muscle failure. Obviously, when you are as torn up as I am today, you are going to hit your 10 at a greatly reduced effort than you would have normally. Is it wise in terms of muscle recovery to go all out when your muscles are in this condition or would it be wiser to do a longer duration cardio at a lower intensity? Machelle If I wasn't so carnivorous I would make a great vegetarian!
