,

I love the part about going to the store and doing reps to gage

where you were at! I had previously thought about the same thing but

wondered if I'd make a scene doing 12 reps, then 10, then 8, etc. :-)

I have also been looking for used weight sets. They are one product

that does wear out and there really isn't any difference between new

and used. Lots of people get them with the intention of working out

and then quit. I see lots of Bowflex and treadmills in the

classified with the description " barely used " but not many weight

sets. The problem is, if they aren't local, no one wants to ship

them due to the weight, and rightly so.

I have seen Athony Ellis and my body is pretty much identical to his

before picture. If I knew I could get his results I would be

starting the BFL tomarrow! The trouble is, I don't see many pictures

of skinny people before BFL so wonder if he is an exception as far

as getting such outstanding results. I had previously seen his

website and he is trying to sell a program. I was kind of

suspicious of his results (because of his sales pitch) so I never

read it to see what it is about, but I will. I guess he didn't

follow the BFL program exactly but tweaked it in some way and is now

trying to sell the program.

As for goals, I mentioned previously that in order to set goals I

need to know what is realistic. If it's typical to gain 5 pounds of

muscle in 12 weeks then I can't set a goal of 20 pounds. Goals make

you work hard to achieve them, but if they aren't realistic you are

setting yourself up for disappointment.

As I mentioned before, I have read the book, twice. That's what got

me looking for a group and I found this one.

Thanks again for the tips . If you see someone doing reps at

teh store, it might be me!

Interesting thing. This champion said he didn't use BFL, yet he is

pictured in the BFL book. Additionally, his after picture in the BFL

book is his 16 week picture, not his 12 week picture. Kind of hard not

to be skeptical when you see these sort of things.

Freddie, I have seen many Champions go on after BFL to become

Fitness Counselors, Endorse various products, or sell weight loss

programs. It may very well be he started using his status as

a " Champion " as a budsiness tool to start selling a program.

Obviously he can't sell BFL so he came up with his own.

I really think if you are willing to set your mind to it, you can

achieve non-typical results with this plan. In week 8 I have gained

19 pounds of muscle. As far I know it is actually easier for men to

form muscle, or at least more of it, than woman.

Don't be afraid to disappoint yourself. If you set a goal a bit too

high, well than it may take 2 Challenges to do it. I wouldn't see

that as a bad thing.

At this point you could say 30 pounds of muscle. That would be a

large order to fill and keep you pushed motivation wise but it is

certainly not out of the question. I have lost 29 pounds of fat and

gained 19 pounds of muscle in 8 weeks. (and go ahead take a margin

of error of 5 pounds although I think my pics show my measurments

are accurate) I had a lady remark that she didn't think that it

was " humanly possible " toget those numbers doing BFL, LOL! I suppose

when your in as bad a shape as I was the sky is the limit.

Set your mind to it Freddie and GO!!!! You can do it!

Machelle

(Is haveing non-typical results.)

Hmmm, I hadn't read this before I posted earlier.

Still doesn't change what YOU can do!

Thanks Brett. I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't pretty friggin happy

about those results myself.:)

BTW, Ab Boot Camp kicks butt.I am not sure who all is using this, but

I still have loads of fat all over my stomach with abs just dying to

come out and play from the crazy wicked routine.

New Goal: To flip a quarter down my stomach by Week 12. I used to do

that all the time as a kid, LOL! I can roll my abs now but I have too

mush fat on them to get the quarter going.

I don't recall where I read it or heard it.. I can try

to check on that.. but It may have been in a Muscle

Media magazine article somewhere way back when the

book first was being marketed...

Freddie,

I can see you are looking for somthing to show you it can be done.

Bottom line....this works,it has worked for many, and it will work

for you. At first I looked all over for somone with my build who

went from tubby to sexy in 12 short weeks. You know what, not many

have compared to those who have tried but (although all show

improvement for sure)......it can be done. The message boards are

full of people missing workouts, cheating on foods, over eating, not

hitting 10's then wondering why they aren't seeing the results they

want. I wasn't gonna be one of those. So I put one foot in front of

the other, worked my @ss off, and just had faith that if I was true

to plan and worked hard it would happen. I think I have done pretty

good so far. At some point you will need to get off the fence and

start busting @ss with 100% percent comittment and belief in

yourself that you too can have non-typical results.

I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but I am sooo thrilled with this

program. Yes, you can burn fat, build muscle, and change horrible

habits ALL at the same time with BFL. It's certainly not easy in any

regard but it can be done IF you want it bad enough.
