Guest guest
So I went searching around and found lots of info on Bodybuilding.com. One guy in particular wrote about " bone pain " comparable to shin splints. That's it!!!! (I recall shin splints from when I first started running many moons ago) It feels just like a milder version of a shin splint. He wrote that it was common for newbies who do preacher curls to feel that because of the imbalance of strength between the forearm and bicep. Which sounds about right for me, my bicep is ready for more weight yet my " bone pain " is preventing me from being able to handle it. Suggested Action: Stay away from preacher curls for now, use a different type of bicep excercise while adding some wrist strengthening and forearm strengthening excercises. He says in time one should be able to have the entire arm ready for the preacher curls. He also says not doing this could potentially cause tendonitis in the forearm. The article seemed to make sense, describe what I have going on to a T, and support many of the other info I had read about this little situation of mine. So, I will go back to isolation curls for now or maybe hammer curls with isolations as my secondary. Thanks to and for the great advice. I always wonder how things turn out for people so I thought I would share my plan of action at the moment. I will post later on the outcome. Work hard and play harder!!!
