Guest guest
Dear Neeti, the recovery time varies for each person. I am only just getting back to some sort of normality after 18 months, but was on my feet within 4 days of the surgery. It depends what you would call " normal " (I still have fizzy tingly feet, occasional dull thuds of back pain, swelling ankles, deformed feet - mmm, not quite so " normal " as I would like!!) Are you sure of your neurosurgeon? Are you writing from India, or where do you live? What is the anaesthesia provision for your surgery, if you are so worried about the " vegetable for life " scenario (very unlikely indeed!) Any neurosurgery has risks but you have to weight these up against the benefits of arresting any further neurological deterioration (bladder control, walking ability, etc etc). Let us know how you get on Nina Bristol, UK --- Begin Forwarded Message --- Date: Mon, 24 Feb 2003 01:38:10 +0530 Subject: Re: Digest Number 766 Sender: neeti kabra To: tetheredspinalcord Reply-To: tetheredspinalcord Message-ID: Hi everyone, Have known for 1 year that i have a TCS...
