Hey Dearest Mell and All my Stills Family!

Sorry to keep ya holding! As ya know, i guess, i got out of the Horsenpital a

week ago yesterday....been on two high power antibiotics thru today and have

felt like hell warmed over! I have been so weak, tired, lethargic, dizzy, in

pain, sore all over, depressed and have thrush!! Otherwise, I am not doing too

badly! Uh HUH!! I was blessed to have had an excellent team of doctors and

nurses the ENTIRE hospital stay, from the ER thru my exit a week later! All of

my Docs and most of my nurses were at least familiar with Stills. The ER Doc

that admitted me to the hospital was very familiar with the whole Biologic

(Enbrel) effect/reaction to the autoimmune disease process....other than the

normal routine of breathing treatments, blood drawing (at 4:00 am), and

veritable gallons of antibiotics, the Doc ordered an Ultra Sound of my abdomen

and a CT Scan with contrast of my chest....The U.S. showed an increase in Fatty

Liver Deposits (indication of

increased inflammation) and some dark " gooh " from my Gall Bladder (indicated

dehydration).....the Chest CT showed an increase in my pulmonary fibrosis over

the original caused by methotrexate.....he was concerned about that.....so, i

have my first appointment with my new Pulmonologist this Tuesday! He has a very

good reputation. I am going to ask him for a referral to either Pulmonary Rehab

OR Home Health with an emphasis on Pulmonary Rehab! I still receive at home my

weekly IV Infusion of Aralast to treat my Alpha-1 lung condition. Today

(Sunday), i still feel as described above.....Patty and I are fixing to get into

the hot tub and relax for a bit....as you can imagine, this whole episode has

been really tough on her! I appreciate ALL of your prayers and well-wishes and

ask that you please continue...you folks are the absolute best! I love and care

for you all!
