Guest guest
Just checking in from Nashville! I've had a CT scan, an ultrasound, a chest X-ray, an EKG, a pneumonia vaccine, some skin tests, and a bunch of lab work done I've also talked with the Social Worker, Psychiatrist, and one of the Transplant Surgeons. Tomorrow I have an EGD done, and then my evaluation will be done! So far everything has gone pretty well. The concensus from the people I've talked to so far is that there probably shouldn't be a problem with listing me as long as all the tests come out as expected. I also gave the email address of this group to both the social worker and the psychiatrist, and they were both quite interested and wrote the address down. Actually I mentioned the group when we were talking about what kind of support resources I had, and they each asked for the address! On another (off topic) note, I'd like to ask people to pray for my cousin, and a friend of his. He is a missionary on the ine Island of Palawan, and last week he undertook a climb to the top of one of the extremely rugged mountains there to place some a communication antenna to aid with communications (it's an extremely isolated area, and communication is a big problem). Anyway, it took them longer to get up than they expected, and on the way back down they ran out of food and at last word were running out of water. They were in radio contact with my aunt and uncle up until a couple days ago, but now they've lost contact... probably their batteries have gone dead. They've have tried to drop them food and water, from the air, but so far have been unsuccesfull. They've also had a hard time getting a real rescue effort underway, because the philipine government keeps stalling. Anyway, they haven't had food for at least three days, and don't have energy to hike, and they may be out of water by now, so it looks like their only hope is a rescue mission. So I'm asking that you pray that they will be rescued from this situation... They are trying to serve God over there, and they really need His help now. Thanks, athan
