Well, I went for my physical therapy and tens unit treatment today. They

were able to do the tens which made absolutely no difference in the

pain/pressure....the PT wouldn't do the exercises though because I remembered

what my NSG said November 1997 after surgery....she said under no

circumstances was I to use weights or do any exercise on my upper body

because it can mess up the patch graft. So I called my NSG just to make sure

I wasn't losing my mind...she said I could work my lower body but NOTHING to

my arms, neck, etc. They also said the muscles in my neck and back are

severely damaged and don't know what to do at this point. They told me there

is a new procedure out where they can actually stretch my muscles in those

areas to help alleviate the pain and spasms....

Who knows....I just know I'm in excruciating pain right now and am going to

set another appointment up with my NSG and tell her I've had it with the

pressure, pain and spasms. Walking around living off of heat/cold packs and

Soma is no way to live. I hurt so bad that I average 1 to 2 days a week not

getting out of bed because I'm in so much pain. My ER bills for the

headaches and spasms is through the roof. I can't continue to live like

this....something is wrong....I wonder if the same thing that put me through

4 surgeries is beginning to happen again. Is that possible? When the old

symptoms return what does that mean? I'm really depressed right now if you

can't already tell. I'm sick of seeing quack doctors that just prescribe the

same meds that aren't working. Does anyone know of a neurologist in the

Northern Virginia area????? My NSG is awesome but my neurologist sucks.

Please help....I'm desparate at this point.

Thanks for everyone's support and past postings.
