I am with you brother.....I AM fortunate that my PCP and Ortho doc are the ONLY

ones who do not treat me like I am a junky....otherwise....wellllllllllllll...it

is as you said.....the last time i tried a PAIN clinic....man oh man what a

joke! I was treated worse there than anywhere!! I was drug teseted nearly

every time i went thru their door! Anyway, i feel your pain and

frustration.....hang in there bro!

This too shall pass!

That is the part the revs me up Larry, all of my Dr's treat me like a

human being with a rare and hard to treat problem, but none-the-less like a

man. Each and every one of them knows I am about the furthest " type " of

person from a " druggie or seeker " . I have a pain Dr, my PCP. my RD, a Liver

Specialist, one who is working on my low Testosterone/high blood sugar and

another specialist who I have to see as I may need to have more sinus

surgery done in the near future.

I went through 2 or 3 BAD Dr's, but the majority I have come across are

interested, thoughtful, thorough & last but far from least caring. I

absolutely hated to get rid of my last PCP, but he was nearing retirement

and dropping down his hours and was no longer going to be on call so I felt

I had to move. I had that Dr (along with his partner who retired the prior

year) since I was 8 or 9 years old. kind of hard to say goodbye to someone

that one can call a friend outside of the office!

My problem stems with dealing with the ER workforce in

general...specifically the arrogant overworked " I know it all " type that

seem to thrive on seeing if they can get people to snap on them. I

literally have had more than one by the throat, and to this day do not know

what in the world stopped me from knocking his F****** teeth out of his

mouth.

I have never done drugs, but have seen many people who i grew up with

(some where close friends..one was my very intelligent (164 IQ) Brother) to

see what that shit does to people to the point where I won't allow anyone

near me who is into that stuff as no good can come out of it. I can not

understand for the life of me why anyone would even contemplate trying any

of that shit knowing what is most likely going to happen to you. # guys who

I wrestled with are dead from overdoses. There are at least 2 dozen guys I

grew up with that are fried beyond recognition. My Brother was making

125k/.year with 6 weeks mandatory vacation and now has absolutely nothing

to his name. Luckily for him he has been clean for over 4 years now, but I

can't bring myself to trust him as far as I can spit. I won't elaborate

further on that at this time, I get sick to my stomach every time I think

of it.

I know for a fact that there are many druggies who go to the ER hoping

for a quick fix, but I highly doubt any of them bring a complete

prescription list and has been hospitalized at the same hospital well over

3 dozen times where my records are on file for any Dr there to see.....so I

just can't take it. When my headaches get as bad as they have been for the

past few weeks I almost feel that I would be best off dead, cause GOD knows

those SOBs don't want to treat a patient like myself. I know a few others

who have massive health problems who go through the same shit, regardless

of which ER they have to go to.

Well...enough ranting for now.......Time to put the ice pack back on the

head and try to sleep.
