I think Klaire's Vital-zymes Complete are great for breaking down sneaky peptides. The combination of dietary watchfulness, good probiotics, and good enzymes is a winner for most kids on the path to recovery. I do not know any neurologists in Chicago (or hardly anywhere who are really knowledgeable about autism, but yes, they usually know about epilepsy) but I have enquired to my wonderful colleague there who is a DAN! in Springfield (Dr. Georgia ) and am awaiting a suggestion from her. I detest phenobarbital for anyone and never recommend it; an old-fashioned anti-convulsant that can cause respiratory depression and I didn't even know it was still used.
