Thanks Dee for your response regarding the period of abstinence and do

nothing theory. Let me clarify by saying that of course thats not going

to work for everyone, maybe not even for most people on this list.

What I *am* saying is that perhaps *not* trying to leave things be at

the earliest stages of what appears to be a thinking about becoming

chronic kind of thing may contribute to someone ending up with something

that wont go away on its own. I think a number of us feel that

overlapping treatments may have created a chronic cycle of discomfort we

now have to figure out how to break.

Well, regarding doing nothing, Ive been doing nothing, and I cant say

its improved things much down there. I did some peering in the mirror at

the Bartholin gland area. It looks like MAYbe its SOMEwhat less red in

SOME places. Its really annoying how its hard to remember whats normal

when everything has been abnormal for so long!

That was also my other point, it seems that there is little agreement on

whats normal, in any aspect. Like the whole discharge thing. What is UP

with all the confusion about that? Most gyn's say, well, normal is whats

normal for YOU. Uhhh, OK, but when things are changing on practically an

hourly basis, and then add all the creams and ointments, how can one get

any reference point?!!!

Argh.

Anyway, my suggestion of letting it be was not really meant as anything

but a thing to make one go " hmmmm " . Didnt mean to offend/imply anything

offensive. Obviously, most of us are here becuase we tried " do

nothing " , AND alotto somethings, with no success, so far. I just wish

there was a way of knowing how many women get what looks like VV and

have it go away. We'll probably never know.
