The doctor is trying to fiqure this all out.

I have a few other medical problems...it is more

difficult when someone has multiple medical things.

I think I will request to see " HOUSE " ...anyone ever

watch that show? Don't watch much TV myself...but,

like to watch that one every now and again.

Jan, you are like a medical wonder to me. You definitely

would benefit from HOUSE being your doctor. He cures

everyone but himself. They come in there with tons of

medical problems and goes out with only one diagnosis

that somehow is either cured or can be treated for.

I love to watch " House " .  It seems like every episode is about liver disease.

We had asked my husband's transplant drs about either one of our sons being

tested as a partial donor, but they told us that since my husband is 65 he would

require a whole liver.  Well, no problem.  We have identical twins.  If we

had House for a dr, he would take a right lobe from one, left lobe from the

other and, voila, a whole liver!  Everybody wins!  LOL.  Jackie

I cringe when House is abusing vicodin. He cant even pee in one episode. He does

have a lot of liver cases, though. Sharon and I always yell in unison " LIVER

anything, she did a strep test and it came back negative. I could barely

swallow. They discharged me with a diagnosis of " sore throat " . By that

afternoon, my throat had bloomed, and it looked like popcorn in there. I couldnt

swallow- I went to an urgent care facility, and they were shocked that the ER

turned me away with no definative DX. Later I found that the doctor had written

some choice lies in my chart. I am going to have to raise some hell now, and get

all of this cleared up, but I am only going to pay them 5 dollars a month if I

pay anything at all. See, my insurance wouldnt cover it, because " sore throat "

I have fought with a hospital ER bill and won! I called the patient advocate and

filed a nasty complaint about the treatment I recieved and they refunded my ER

fee...which was sizable.

couldnt swallow, couldnt hardly speak, he was scared and in terrable pain, he

thought it was infection from the scope they had done in dec. they found no

strep, nothing but they had to force the tongue depresser to even see past the

swelling.gave him liquid hydrocodone, even though they was told he had liver

didease and sent us home. then this yr. ,well last in oct. dr. riccio found a

you, i am willing to pay half, they should eat the rest. when bobby had the

dr. said after he got it out, it was pressing on his spinal colum, no cancer but

it had to go. anyways, the first surgeon we saw, waited 2 hours in the waiting

I have fought with a hospital ER bill and won! I called the patient advocate and

filed a nasty complaint about the treatment I recieved and they refunded my ER

fee...which was sizable.

Amen. I just opened a bill for 1,000 dollars from the university from the summer

before last when my blood work shifted right, and I contracted thrush in my

mouth and throat. The ass hole doctor took one look in there, said I dont see

anything, she did a strep test and it came back negative.

See, my insurance wouldnt cover it, because " sore throat "

is not en emergency.

This is true...the biggest problem comes with insurance companies...our

healthcare professionals and hospitals are among the best in the world...but the

system that makes that care accessible is rated 37th.

Amen. I just opened a bill for 1,000 dollars from the university from the summer

before last when my blood work shifted right, and I contracted thrush in my

mouth and throat. The ass hole doctor took one look in there, said I dont see

anything, she did a strep test and it came back negative.

See, my insurance wouldnt cover it, because " sore throat "

is not en emergency.

I do agree that we have it far better than some places...the problem, as I see

it, comes with the middle class here...if you are poor enough you can get

Medicaid which gives access to our excellent Dr.s, hospitals, etc.  If you are

fortunate enough to be able to afford insurance, or have an employer that

provides you with insurance, government employees, etc. you have access.  But

those in between, mostly low to middle income Americans, are the ones suffering

under our system.
