LockmanSUBJECT: Regional Workshops for IEP: Make It MeasurableWe are pleased to announce six regional workshops for IEP: Make It Measurable developed through the Accommodations and Modifications Project for Students with Disabilities at the Learning Systems Institute (LSI), and Florida State University (FSU), sponsored by the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services.The full day train-the-trainer workshop enables participants to write statements of present levels of educational performance and annual goals including short-term objectives or benchmarks that are in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Florida requirements and prepares them to present a one-day workshop to teach others. Those who attend the train-the-trainer workshop will receive a replicable packet of training materials. We need your help in identifying persons who can attend the workshops. Please ask persons from your district or region to complete a workshop registration form (attached) and fax or mail it by November 19, 2004, to Ms. Flossie Smallwood, LSI/FSU, 227 N.
