4 week on enzymes and some good news

I haven't posted too much here. My son, started taking Peptzyde on

Nov. 1. We added Zyme Prime on the 13th. He is GFCF and we haven't

allowed any infractions yet (just the thought makes me nervous!).

Over the past few weeks we have seen an increase in appetite, lots of

requests for ice water, more frequent bms but not any particular jump

in functioning. Evan is 5 and very high functioning. No behaviors

anymore but often still spacey in NT Kindergarten. He spends 1 1/2

hours a day in NT Kindergarten 21/2 hours in Communication Handicap

pre-k class.

The good news... I had an IEP this morning. His teacher commented

that in the last 3 weeks Evan has taken a leadership role in the

class. He is always raising his hand to answer questions; helping

other kids; being the teachers helper etc.. As my husband reminded

me, nothing we have ever done with Evan has been a coincidence. We

are sure the enzymes are helping. In the NT Kindergarten he has been

less spacey but still needs a prompt to " bring him back. " He is doing

the curriculum with the NT class just fine.

We intend to keep up with the enzymes and will introduce off-limits

foods soon. Over the last 2 months, Evan has wanted to be more like

the kids in his class and eat the same foods. We hope the enzymes

allow him to do that.

Just wanted to share good news and encourage those considering enzymes

to give it a try.
