Hi, I'm Joe in Washington State. I've been on 80mg/day Celexa and

1200mg/day Neurontin for about 4 years now for Bi-polar/depression.

I've been considering trying to get off these for sometime now. Last

Saturday I decided to go cold turkey on these two and replace them

with 5-HTP and Omega 3 fish oil.

So far, things are not too bad. When I have decreased my Celexa

dosage in the past I have gotten these shocks/snaps. So far, this is

my biggest problem. My mood seems to be good, I'm not too irratable

yet, lol. (I Actually considered quiting smoking at the same time)

Right now my biggest problems are the shocks and lack of energy. The

shocks aren't as bad as they can be, but they're there and very

annoying/draining. The reason I wanted to get off of them was from a

total lack of energy. I have absolutly no sleeping pattern. It's been

that way since I started taking these drugs. That has improved

slightly since switching but not much and I get even more drained now

then before. I just want MORE ENERGY.

Just FYI, I'm Male 53yo, 300lbs, 6' tall, smoke, don't drink. I was

on Respordyl (sp?) for awhile also but haven't been on it for a

couple of years. I'm up to 150 mg of 5-htp and 6 fish pills a day. I

continue to increase as I feel the need for it.

Any help here will pe appreciated, but I don't want to go back on the

drugs!

Thanks,

Joe
