Guest guest
Dear (and Everyone!): My five-year-old Alice has never been on any kind of special diet, and has been on enzymes for 4 1/2 weeks. We introduced the Houston Prime Zyme one week ago, and have noted mildly increased wetting, but as with the Houston Peptizide, this appears to be resolving, and she's starting to have dry nights again. We've seen some mind-boggling things since beginning the enzymes and I wanted to up-date the group on the latest. (If you're curious, you can check the back-posts by typing my name or Alice's into the Search Archive.) Alice began drawing faces almost exactly one year ago. We were excited, but she swiftly fell into what the OT called " stereotyped " activity, that is, just drawing a rudimentary face, nothing else. This weekend, I asked her to draw me something and my heart sank just a little when she drew the same old face. She's had some minor meltdowns recently and I thought, with some resignation, that after the astounding events of last week in particular, that we were overdue for another plateau. So I walk into the nursery school this morning, and there, in a place of honour above the sign-in table, is an amazing, recognisable line sketch of a gorilla's head, with " Alice " written under it. I grabbed the nearest ECE, who confirmed that yes, Alice had drawn it the day before, and told one of her teachers, " Issa gohwillah! " I just wish I had the technology to post the picture at the site! As you can imagine, I floated out of there! , I've tried the " Happy Dance " with Alice; it's a HIT! (And works jolly well on a mini-tramp!) So yes, enzymes without the diet can work! (Your mileage may vary...) Gail(amazed mum to Alice,5,GDD and Philippa,9,gifted) > Does anyone have their child on enzymes without the gfcf diet?
