It seems to control my cough. Does it tend to do the same for you? Unfortunately, I've been spitting up yellow, thick sputum almost every day since my pneumonia 3+ years ago so I think this is a norm for me. Only occasionally is it lighter yellow and less thick (particularly when I'm on certain antibiotics). What color is your sputum?
